At UPPAbaby, we firmly believe in the expression "think globally, act locally." We're also constantly thinking about how we can make a positive impact on the environment. That's why we strive to take action where practical and we continually evaluate our environmental opportunities as we grow. What we do now:

  • Recycle materials in old and used strollers.
  • Donate functional but not "A-grade" strollers to charity.
  • Operate a warehouse on each coast, helping to reduce truck delivery emissions.
  • Allow "work at home" opportunities for moms and heavy commuters.
  • Located in a primarily non-climate controlled, historical factory building with window AC units that we use sparingly during only the hottest of summer days.
  • Molly, our Vice President of Sales, single-handedly negotiated a cardboard recycling program for the entire office building-- 100,000 sq. ft.!
  • Encourage the use of 4-cylinder or hybrid vehicles for our employees (even Bob at 6'-3" drives one).
  • Partner with eco-friendly retailers to distribute UPPAbaby products.

Going Forward:

  • Constantly evaluate opportunities to manufacture accessories and stroller components in the USA.
  • Educate ourselves in "green" fabrics and fashions when considering what will work best for our customers.
  • Develop a user-friendly program to recycle used strollers when families no longer need them.
